Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 30 June 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of courier and delivery services provided by Blissaroo Couriers ("we", "us", "our") to any individual or business ("the Customer") placing a booking with us. By booking a delivery, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Our Services

Blissaroo Couriers provides same-day delivery, medical courier, and urgent document delivery services across North West England. All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by us.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion, including where the nature of the goods is unlawful, hazardous, or otherwise unsuitable for transport.

2. Booking and Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive written or email confirmation from Blissaroo Couriers. Verbal agreements do not constitute a confirmed booking.

It is the Customer's responsibility to provide accurate collection and delivery addresses, contact details, and a full description of the goods being transported. Any errors may result in delays or additional charges.

3. Pricing and Payment

All prices are quoted based on the information provided at the time of booking. Our standard pricing includes a £40 call-out fee plus a per-mile rate determined by the vehicle type required:

  • Small Van — £1.10 per mile
  • Short Wheelbase (SWB) Van — £1.45 per mile
  • Long Wheelbase (LWB) Van — £1.65 per mile
  • Luton Van — £1.80 per mile

Final charges may vary if the actual distance, vehicle requirement, weight, or nature of the goods differs from what was stated at the time of booking.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of the delivery unless a credit account has been agreed in writing.
  • Business account customers are invoiced monthly with payment due within 14 days of invoice date.
  • We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
  • All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT where applicable.

4. Cancellations and Amendments

  • Cancellations made more than 1 hour before the scheduled collection time will incur no charge.
  • Cancellations made within 1 hour of the scheduled collection time may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed booking price.
  • If a driver has already been dispatched and the booking is cancelled, the full call-out fee is payable.
  • Amendments to bookings (change of address, time, or goods) must be communicated as early as possible and may result in revised pricing.

5. Liability and Insurance

Blissaroo Couriers takes all reasonable care in the handling and transportation of goods. However, our liability is limited as follows:

  • Our maximum liability for loss or damage to goods is covered up to £10,000 per consignment under our goods in transit insurance policy.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to traffic incidents, road closures, severe weather, or acts of third parties.
  • The Customer is responsible for ensuring goods are adequately packaged for transport. We accept no liability for damage resulting from inadequate packaging.

Excluded Items

We do not accept liability for loss or damage to cash, jewellery, precious metals, antiques, fine art, or any item whose value exceeds our standard liability limit unless separately agreed.

6. Medical Courier Handling

Where Blissaroo Couriers is engaged to transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, or other healthcare-related goods, the following additional terms apply:

Customer Responsibilities

  • The Customer must ensure all medical items are correctly packaged, labelled, and sealed in accordance with applicable regulations prior to collection.
  • The Customer must declare the nature of the medical goods at the time of booking, including any temperature requirements, biohazard classifications, or handling instructions.
  • It is the Customer's responsibility to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation governing the transport of medical specimens and controlled substances.

Our Responsibilities

  • We will transport medical goods with appropriate care and in accordance with any handling instructions provided at the time of booking.
  • Our drivers are trained to handle medical cargo discreetly and professionally at all times.

Waiting Time

A free waiting period of 15 minutes is included from the agreed collection time. After this, a waiting time charge of £8.99 per 15 minutes (or part thereof) will be added to the final invoice. Customers will be notified when the free waiting period has elapsed.

Limitation of Liability — Medical Goods

We accept no liability for the degradation of medical specimens or pharmaceuticals where the Customer has failed to provide adequate packaging or accurate handling instructions. Our liability for medical goods is subject to the same limits set out in Section 5 unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Prohibited and Restricted Goods

The following items are not accepted for transport under any circumstances:

  • Illegal substances or items prohibited by UK law

8. Delivery and Collection

We will make every reasonable effort to collect and deliver within the agreed timeframe. Estimated times are not guaranteed and do not form part of the contract unless expressly agreed in writing as a guaranteed time slot.

If a recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, we will attempt to contact the Customer. Additional charges may apply for re-delivery attempts.

9. Claims

Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing to [email protected] within 7 days of the delivery date. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted. We will acknowledge all claims within 5 working days.
